Three time zones, one consistent team-page look. Virtual headshots for remote teams flying into Fort Myers.
Your team is in six states and the team page looks like it. JA Headshots runs virtual headshot sessions from our Fort Myers studio, pairing live video coaching with pro retouching, for matched team headshots. Remote-first startups and hybrid sales teams trust our studio for "best, most confident version of me" portraits and a real-photo answer to AI.

What is a virtual headshot session?
A virtual headshot session is a directed photo shoot. You set up at your own location and Joshua coaches the session live over video. Real photos, real retouching, real direction, just without the flight.
Two formats are on offer. Remote-coached over Zoom from your home, office, or hotel room, using a phone, tablet, or DSLR. Travel-based, where Joshua flies to a remote office for in-person group coverage.
Both produce the same finished look. Both priced transparently.
The thing virtual headshots are not is AI. The next section covers why.
Why do distributed teams need virtual headshots?
Distributed teams have a branding problem in-office companies do not. The HBR on elevating your presence in a virtual meeting report tracks how widely remote setups still vary across companies. Different cameras, different kitchen walls, different ideas of "professional" produce a team page that looks like a patchwork. One pass fixes it. Common use cases:
- Remote-first startups where the entire team works from home and nobody has been in the same room.
- Hybrid sales teams with reps across multiple states who need matching LinkedIn photos for outbound.
- Executive leadership where CEO, CFO, and COO need consistent imagery for the investor deck and about page.
- Post-acquisition rebranding where two merged companies need unified headshots for the combined website.
- Conference and speaker bios where an executive needs a polished photo fast without traveling.
Real photo vs AI headshot vs phone selfie
A remote-first CFO will compare $500 against a $30 AI generator. The math looks different on closer inspection.

Recruiters do not flag it. Holds up across LinkedIn, the company about page, press releases, and conference bios for years.

What does a virtual headshot session include?
Setup guide before the call.
Camera or phone placement checklist, window-light diagram, gear list (tripod, ring light if you have one, plain wall or sheet), and a wardrobe guide. Most clients use a recent iPhone plus the brightest window in the room.

Joshua sees what your camera sees, directs framing, light angle, posture, and expression in real time, and shoots until you have the images you need. Most sessions run 45 to 75 minutes.
Raw upload.
You drop the raw files into a shared folder after the call.
Retouching pipeline.
Same skin smoothing, color correction, and background cleanup we use for in-studio. LinkedIn-ready sizing included.
Delivery.
High-resolution files within 48 to 72 hours. 24-hour rush available for tight deadlines.
Why do remote teams trust our studio?
Joshua Albanese founded a top-10 US headshot studio in Chicago in 2007. Across 18 years and 15,000+ sessions, a steady share were remote-directed. Those clients could not make it into the studio. He relocated to Fort Myers in 2024 and now serves distributed teams nationwide.

Virtual / remote headshot vocabulary
Concepts that frame remote-team or online-only headshot work.
A tightly framed portrait focused on the face, shoulders, and expression. Used for LinkedIn profiles, company about pages, press kits, and any context where a single image stands in for the person.
Images, audio, or video generated or significantly altered by artificial intelligence. AI headshots are a form of synthetic media; for use cases where trust matters (LinkedIn, executive bios, press kits), a real photograph holds up where a synthetic one increasingly does not.
The professional networking platform where most headshot demand starts. A LinkedIn profile photo is the single most-viewed image of a working professional, which is why LinkedIn-optimized cropping and color matter.
